MEET CHRISTINA

I have found my calling in psychotherapy. As early as middle school, I was interested in having friends of every age group and from various backgrounds.  I discovered I was a good listener and observer with enormous curiosity about everything. I loved hearing about people’s unique experiences and ways of navigating life.  Over time, I realized my interest in people is because humans are truly fascinating beings.  My belief is we’re essentially a pretty cool species, and quite adaptable!

I’ve worked in various healthcare settings for most of my adult life and have long been committed to working as a therapist. My own story has helped motivate and shape me in this work. When two family members were diagnosed with cancer –  first my mother and weeks later, my husband – I became acutely aware of how precious and unpredictable life can be.

Within the next few years, my brave mother passed, my dear father followed her shortly after, and then my beloved husband left this world as well. Losing each of them was heartbreaking beyond measure, and also surprisingly led to remarkable blessings. I learned so much. I found that each grief experience is unique, and healing takes many forms. I discovered a strong support system is as vital as lifeblood, and the power of gratitude is infinite. I believe each of their lives and love have offered tremendous inspiration, and growth. I also presume these losses have made me a better person, friend, and counselor. I can accompany those in distress, whatever form that might take, with more empathy and understanding. I am able to welcome both grief and joy, plus everything in between, and I value the opportunity to share what I can with others. It is a true honor to walk alongside my clients who are growing, learning, and living with the uncertainty life presents.
